Other Details

  • Transportation will not be provided, but all venues are within a 0.5-mile distance in Old Town Alexandria and rideshare is readily available. Public parking garages and metered street parking are available throughout Old Town Alexandria, and the Basilica also has several parking lots nearby.

  • Friday’s welcome event is cocktail attire, and Saturday’s celebration is black-tie optional (tuxedos or dark suits and gowns or floor-length dresses).

Our ceremony will take place during a Catholic Mass, so we kindly ask guests to dress in a modest manner appropriate for a church setting.

  • While we love all of your children, we can only accommodate guests named on your invitation for the wedding on Saturday. If you are traveling with your children for the weekend, we would love to see them at the welcome reception on Friday evening.

  • Our wedding is invite-only for the guests listed on your invitation. Please reach out if you have any questions.

The Marian M

The "M" on our wax seal is a traditional Catholic symbol for the Virgin Mary. The lilies surrounding it represent her grace and purity and have been associated with Mary since the early Church. We placed it on our save the date as a small act of entrusting our marriage to Mary and, through her, to her Son, Jesus Christ.
